BREAA NYC is pleased to invite you to a special industry-wide cocktail reception honoring the 75th Anniversary of the UC Berkeley Fisher Center for Real Estate + Urban Economics with Chancellor Rich Lyons (the 12th Chancellor of the University of California). The Fisher Center is the second oldest university real estate research center in the US and has advanced the real estate industry through education, research, and policy advisory, shaping generations of students and professionals while tackling critical issues in real estate, finance, urban economics, sustainability, land use, and public policy.

We are excited to have Chancellor Rich Lyons join us for the event. Chancellor Lyons is the 12th Chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley, beginning his tenure as the first undergraduate alum (BS 1982) to serve as Chancellor in July 2024. Prior to serving as Chancellor, he was the Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship from 2020-2024 and also served as the Dean of UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business from 2008-2018.

We are proud to honor Nancy Wallace, professor of Finance and Real Estate at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, where she holds the Lisle and Roslyn Payne Chair in Real Estate and Capital Markets. She is Chair of the Real Estate Group, Co-Chair of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, and directs the Real Estate and Financial Markets Laboratory. She is a past President of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association and a past member of the AREUEA Board of Directors.

We are also proud to honor Christopher J. Hartung, Executive Director of the Fisher Center’s Policy Advisory Board, for his outstanding leadership and service. He brings decades of experience in real estate finance and investment and is the Co-Founder of Terra Firma Asset Management and former Portfolio Manager at Lazard Asset Management's Global Real Estate Group. His deep industry knowledge and commitment to bridging academia and practice have made a lasting impact on the Fisher Center and the broader real estate community.
