2024 Fellows

Anthony Adly

Anthony Adly is a junior at UC Berkeley Haas majoring in Business Administration and minoring in City and Regional Planning. After joining his sophomore year, Anthony has become heavily involved in the Undergraduate Real Estate Club (UREC) on campus, currently serving as Co-President for the Spring 2024 semester. Through the club’s Research & Consulting division, Anthony has had the opportunity to work on several projects for Bay Area commercial real estate firms including Blue Rise Ventures. Anthony has also demonstrated his interest in commercial real estate through internships at firms including Blackstone, The Carlyle Group, Avison Young, and AHV Communities. Through these experiences, he has developed a profound interest in the multifamily and logistics asset classes. Upon graduating, Anthony hopes to continue his experience working on development projects in these sectors, primarily through private equity capital deployment.

As a BREAA Fellow, Anthony looks forward to spending his time connecting with both students and alumni across all verticals of commercial real estate, and continuing to learn from the industry’s brightest minds.



Bhavish Shah

Bhavish Shah is part of the Master of Real Estate Development + Design program, graduating in May 2024. He is the current BIA Bay Area Fellow and Emerging Development Leader Fellow. Prior to joining the MRED+D program, Bhavish was part of the Standards & Innovation team at WeWork India, where his focus was on capital expenditure optimization, transaction analysis, and product innovation. Bhavish's strong academic record has been supplemented with his internship at Brookfield Residential, which has helped him gain valuable exposure to land acquisition and development in a professional environment. Bhavish is passionate about Real Estate, Sustainability and innovation in Real Estate Development. By being part of BREAA, Bhavish hopes to gain more exposure in the industry and make a meaningful impact in the field, becoming a future leader in the real estate industry. Upon graduating, he aims to continue his professional journey in a role involving acquisition & development of distressed assets and large scale developments across multiple product types.

2023 Fellows


Ivy Ta

Ivy Ta is a driven and ambitious senior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Urban Studies and minoring in Sustainable Design. Ivy has shown a strong commitment to the Berkeley Real Estate community since joining the Undergraduate Real Estate Club (UREC) during her sophomore year. Over the years, Ivy has made her way up the ranks of UREC and currently serves as Senior Advisor after her term as Co-President for the Fall 2022 semester.


With internships at Sperry Equities, Project Destined’s Commercial Real Estate Team, and Prime Residential’s Transactions Team, Ivy has a bright future ahead of her. Over the next five years, Ivy hopes to build a successful career in development, positively influencing the built environment.


Serena Lousich

Serena Lousich is in the Masters of Real Estate + Development Program graduating May 2023. She previously holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelors in Architectural Studies. Having worked in the Bay Area as a Senior Landscape Designer for award winning Landscape Architecture Firm - Surfacedesign Inc for 4 years prior to going back to school, here she worked on a variety and range of commercial projects in the Bay Area and Aotearoa (New Zealand). Her passion lies with Indigenous led design and development, being of Māori descent herself and having worked with tribes both in Aotearoa and California, her capstone project seeks to find innovative solutions for Indigenous agency in the design and development process. She hopes to continue to do this throughout her professional career in real estate development. She is also a 2023 NAIOP Golden Shovel Cal team member.

2022 Fellows

Lily Lorbeer

Lily Lorbeer is a Haas MBA and Interdisciplinary Real Estate Certificate candidate. Prior to Haas, Lily worked at Wayfair and managed her family’s small retail and office portfolio. During the height of the pandemic, she drew upon her expertise in online sales at Wayfair to help her tenants weather mandatory shutdowns. Lily has an outstanding academic record and has leveraged her role as VP of Admissions and Recruitment for the Berkeley Real Estate Club to inspire more women to join Haas in pursuit of a real estate careers. She is also a Consortium Member, Forté Fellow, VP of Partnerships for Women in Leadership Club, and recipient of Haas Defining Leader Scholarship Award. Lily joins BREAA with a passion for real estate and was thrilled to work as a Real Estate Intern at Cruise, a leading self-driving vehicle company.

Lily hopes to use her time as a BREAA Fellow to connect with the broader Berkeley real estate community of alumni and students. In the interim, Lily is representing UC Berkeley in the 2022 UT Austin National Real Estate Competition. We wish her and the team the best a luck and another Cal win!


Jason Phan

Jason Phan is a UC Berkely undergraduate pursuing a BA in Economics degree and a Minor in City Planning and Data Science. Jason has been an active member of the Berkeley Real Estate community since joining the Undergraduate Real Estate Club (UREC) where he serves as the club’s VP of Marketing. As a first-generation college student, he has already made impressive academic and professional strides, securing internships with CBRE’s Multifamily and Capital Markets team in LA and the Project Destined Commercial Real Estate Team.

Upon graduation, Jason hopes to work in commercial multifamily acquisitions and, eventually, pursue an MBA. As a BREAA Fellow, Jason is seeking to expand his real estate network, building relationships across roles with professionals in law, design, policy, and investments. We are thrilled to welcome Jason to the BREAA family!
