Connie Moore Constance B. Moore served as President and CEO of BRE Properties from 2005 until its merger with Essex Property Trust in 2014. She was also a member of BRE’s board of directors since 2002. With over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry, Ms. Moore has made significant contributions to the field. Before joining BRE, Ms. Moore was the Managing Director of Security Capital Group & Affiliates. From 1993 to 2002, she held several executive positions within Security Capital Group, including Co-Chairman and COO of Archstone Communities Trust. During her tenure, she served on the boards of directors of both public and private companies owned or controlled by Security Capital Group. Ms. Moore has received numerous accolades for her contributions to the industry. She was recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the most influential women in the San Francisco business community and honored as the 2010 Distinguished Alumna for the College of Business at San Jose State University. In 2014, she was named Person of the Year by the Golden Gate Chapter of Lambda Alpha International. The Haas School of Business awarded her the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, and she was named one of the Most Influential Corporate Board Directors by WomenInc in the same year. She received the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts’ 2020 Industry Leadership Award and was named a Lifetime Trustee of the Urban Land Institute in 2022. Ms. Moore holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University. She was the 2009 Chair of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). Currently, she is the Chair of the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at UC Berkeley, a member of the Board of Directors of the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, a Trustee and Governor of the Urban Land Institute, and a member of the ULI Foundation Board. Additionally, she serves on the boards of the San Jose State University Tower Foundation, Bridge Housing Corporation, Civeo Corporation (NYSE: CVEO), Tri Pointe Homes (NYSE: TPH), and Healthcare Trust of America (NYSE: HTA). |
