Bill Falik
Westpark Community Builders

Bill Falik has dedicated the past 48 years to practicing land use, real estate, mediation, and environmental law in Northern California. His extensive experience spans roles as an attorney, mediator, expert witness, real estate developer, and professor, covering all facets of land-use planning, real estate acquisition, finance, negotiation, and development. Mr. Falik graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University in 1968 and from Harvard Law School in 1971, where he served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review.

For over 40 years, Mr. Falik has managed numerous land development partnerships, focusing on entitling, planning, and developing master-planned communities in the San Francisco Bay Area and the greater Sacramento region. He is currently the Managing Partner of Westpark Community Builders, which developed a 1,483-acre master-planned community in Roseville. He also developed the Whitney Oaks Masterplanned Community and a championship golf course and clubhouse with Johnny Miller in Rocklin, California.

Mr. Falik serves on the Policy Advisory Board and Executive Committee for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics and the Berkeley Real Estate Alumni Advisory Board. For the past 15 years, he has been a Visiting and Adjunct Professor at Berkeley Law School, the College of Environmental Design, and the Goldman School of Public Policy. Additionally, he is a member of the professional faculty at the Haas School of Business, where he teaches an interdisciplinary course on land development and investment. Mr. Falik also coaches the UC Berkeley Golden Shovel and UT Austin Real Estate Competitions, leading them to four consecutive victories.
